PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Wolf Creek Families,

This week we ‘Led with Gratitude’! The Student Lighthouse Team sponsored the week, and each day the students completed Gratitude Challenges. If you have a chance, stop by and see the giant turkey in the front hall. You will see hundreds of feathers that represent the kind acts completed by the students!

Speaking of gratitude- I want to thank everyone who came out for the Turkey Trot last week.  We raised $900 for the Spring Hill Food Pantry and also collected over 200 canned items.  It was a fun evening. A special thank you to the staff that volunteered to come and supervise!

We also need to give a shout out to Mrs. Demings and the third and fifth grades. They had their music programs on Thursday and everyone did an amazing job!

A reminder that school resumes on December 1st and on December 5th we will have a Grinch Spirit Day.

I wish all you a wonderful Thanksgiving and safe travels,

- Beth Cooper, Principal

IMPORTANT NOTES

Note From the Student Lighthouse Team:

Toys for Tots Collection:

The WCES Student Lighthouse team is excited to announce that we will be accepting donations for Toys for Tots from December 1st-December 10th. Students can bring in new toys around the $10.00 price range (such as legos, books, dolls, art supplies, etc.). Grade levels will be working together to bring in toys, all while learning the importance of giving back to the community. There will be a special prize for the winning team. If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Book(booke@usd230.org) or Mrs. Preston (prestona@usd23.org)

Standing Ovations:

If you are feeling particularly grateful for a WCES staff member, you might consider a Standing Ovation. Standing Ovations are our staff character awards.  Each month we take time to share those with the whole school. Please consider filling one out for someone who is doing a great job!
