PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Wolf Creek Families,

I want to give you an early heads up about a time change for a special event. Traditionally we have held the Halloween Party and Parade at the end of the day. This year we are going to try having the festivities at the beginning of the day. Students will come in costume; we will parade at 8:05.  The parties will begin right after the parade and end at 9:05. This will take place on Friday, October 31st.

We anticipate this will bring more ease to the day by helping with costumes and the end of day transportation challenges.

Some reminders about costumes and treats:

  • Costumes must be appropriate for school.  Horror and gory costumes are not appropriate for school celebrations.  A good rule of thumb is to consider: if a five-year-old could be frightened by the costume, it is too scary for us.

  • Costumes and accessories resembling weapons or weapon look-alikes are prohibited at school.  This includes plastic knives, swords, guns, light sabers or any item that resembles a weapon.

  • Adults who are attending the parties or parade may not have masks or makeup obscuring their face.

  • If you are providing a treat or snack for the party and it is non-perishable, please feel free to send it anytime.  Nurse Rene cross checks the party food for each classroom with food allergies and health needs.  She appreciates getting a head start on this task before party day.

Thank you for your help. We look forward to an exciting Halloween!

We had a successful Book Fair this week.  Book Fair is supported by PTO and the proceeds go to enhance our library collection.  We had parents in and out all week to help us set up, run, and tear down the Book Fair. We are so grateful for you, our parent community. I can’t imagine a more supportive environment and when we get in to the busy times of year like this one, I see and appreciate all the parent support we receive at Wolf Creek.

Have a great weekend!
