Happy New Year!
The WCES team kicked off 2026 today with a day of professional development. In addition to having some time for grade card work, we also had learning sessions on ‘Increasing Rigor and Relevance’ and ‘Understanding Trauma’. We value this time together. It’s a great way to recharge and begin a new semester.
A couple of calendar notes for next week:
Wednesday, January 7th will be a regular start day. There will be no PLC time that morning.
Report cards will go home on Friday January 9th.
A reminder that school begins at 8:00 each day. That means students should be in their classrooms with things put away and ready to start at 8. This can be hard in the darker days of winter, but we have found that children can struggle if they come in behind and the class is already up and running. If your child is having a hard time getting going, let us know if we can help in any way.
I hope you had a wonderful winter break with your families. We look forward to having our Wranglers return on Monday!
