Good Evening Cavalier Families,
We hope this message finds you and your family safe and well following the recent severe weather.
We are incredibly proud to share that our 3rd-5th grade students have completed the Kansas State Assessments with tremendous grit and determination! Their focus and perseverance truly shined throughout the testing process. Cavaliers continue to rise to the occasion with integrity and excellence. We are also grateful to our primary buddy classrooms for taking time to encourage and cheer on our intermediate students!
As we look ahead, we have five instructional weeks remaining in the school year, including our district assessment window (FastBridge and iReady) for all K-5th grade students. During this time, we will remain intentional in supporting student success and empowering each learner to take ownership of their learning. Our goal is for every student to demonstrate strong progress, and we will continue to encourage and celebrate their efforts every step of the way.

FIELD TRIPS (BOE Policy IFCB)
Class field trips from school require parent permission. Field trip permission forms will be sent home with students in advance of the date of the trip. The form must include the nature of the trip, departure time, expected return time, name of sponsor(s), and mode of travel. All students are required to ride the bus to and from the field trip, unless a parent/legal guardian who is attending the field trip signs their student out with the designated teacher before leaving the field trip location. This helps us ensure that all students are accounted for before departing. Parents or legal guardians who plan to take their student home directly from the field trip should provide written communication to the school, preferably 24 hours in advance. A student may not accompany his/her class if the school does not receive a permission form.
Students must not be under suspension, expulsion restrictions, and/or have no outstanding detention time to serve in order to attend field trips.
Kindly review our Elementary Handbook 2025-2026
for more information on Academics, Activities, Attendance, Code of Conduct, Health, Nutrition, Transportation, Safety & Security.
